The Alabama Board of Medical Examiners (ALBME) has joined the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and State Medical Licensing Boards Collaboration. CME activity providers can report data about the credit that Alabama licensees have gained through ACCME's Program and Activity Reporting System. 

An assessment of the Physicians Leadership Academy — a 10-month program that includes integrated leadership seminars, mindfulness training, and executive coaching — shows that evaluators developed a continuous feedback loop evaluation framework in response to stakeholders' need for continuous improvement.

The CME Coalition recently released an updated Independent Medical Education (IME) Compliance Guide for use by accredited continuing medical education providers and commercial supporters.
