Researchers developed two continuing medical education (CME)-accredited online educational activities about type 2 diabetes (T2D) and obesity to assess learner satisfaction, competence and performance. The faculty-led touchIN CONVERSATION and touch MultiDisciplinary Team activities each featured three 10- to 15-minute videos covering learning objectives based on a review of published literature and faculty commentary.

In an effort to increase meaningful interactions among attendees and improve the overall impact of the educational sessions, the ACCME recently announced some changes to the upcoming ACCME Annual Meeting.

Researchers devised a video-based education module to teach decision-making for cubital tunnel surgery. The module included prelecture and postlecture knowledge assessments and the choice of two self-guided video lectures on a peer-reviewed decision algorithm. Knowledge retention was assessed three months after completion. In all, 279 surgeons participated (75% practicing surgeons and 25% trainees).

Researchers analyzed nine online articles published from 2008 to 2021 to evaluate the use of digital educational interventions for cultivating advanced care planning skills.
