I’m in the business of creating compelling stories. As a filmmaker for The Discovery Channel, The History Channel and National Geographic, I need to understand how stories touch audiences — why one story instantly resonates with an audience while another doesn’t.

Mr. Rogers said, “Play gives children a chance to practice what they are learning.” This also holds true for adults, including clinicians. When developing education about the role of Janus Kinase (JAK) in the management of rheumatoid arthritis (RA), Paradigm took these words to heart and designed an online interactive game, New Insights on the Role of Janus Kinase (JAK) Inhibition in Rheumatoid Arthritis: Do You Know JAK? that provided expert guidance on the mechanism of action (MOA) of JAK inhibitors, and increased awareness and application of the latest advances in JAK inhibition for RA. Available August 2017-August 2018, Do You Know JAK? was supported by an educational grant from Pfizer Inc.

The first three months following the onset of initial symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) represent a therapeutic window during which disease-modifying anti-rheumatic drug (DMARD) treatment has been shown to induce disease remission and limit subsequent joint damage.1 Delays in establishing the diagnosis or starting a DMARD increase the risk for worsening of the disease activity.
