AL Board of Medical Examiners Launches Online Continuing Education for Physicians

The Alabama Board of Medical Examiners has introduced online continuing medical education (CME) courses for licensed physicians, providing physicians in the state with added convenience as they learn. "The introduction of these online CME courses marks a significant step forward in our mission to enhance the quality of healthcare in Alabama," said William M. Perkins, executive director of the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners. "By providing accessible, high-quality educational resources, we empower physicians to continue delivering exceptional care to their patients." Some of the initial online courses focus on understanding collaborative practice in the state, the roles and responsibilities oh physicians in supervisory practice, and the roles of an anesthesiologist assistant and supervising anesthesiologist in supervisory practice.
