ACCME Data Report: Thriving Through Growth and Innovation – 2023

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) has released a report that includes data from more than 1,600 accredited education providers. The "ACCME Data Report: Thriving Through Growth and Innovation - 2023" details a system that continues to innovate, with record levels of activity production and engagement by healthcare professionals. As funding and support for accredited continuing education continues to increase, the provider community reported a total income of $3.5 billion last year. Local and team-based learning activities have resumed in the workplace, but online learning continues to hold healthcare professionals' interest as well. "The data in this report clearly shows that the continuing education system is supporting the evolution, change, improvement, and excellence that all of us are looking for, said Graham McMahon, MD, MMSc, president and CEO, ACCME.
