ACCME Achieves WFME Recognition

Four accrediting organizations have received recognition from the World Federation for Medical Education's (WFME) new Continuing Professional Development (CPD) Recognition Program. These groups include the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME); European Board for Accreditation of Continuing Education for Health Professionals; Accreditation Section of the Department of Healthcare Professions, Qatar Ministry of Public Health; and Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. Recognition from the new WFME program indicates that these groups "meet globally accepted standards for CPD accreditation, ensuring that the education they accredit supports high-quality lifelong learning for healthcare professionals," ACCME noted.
