Online Course Updates Allergists and Dermatologists on Latest in Atopic Dermatitis Management
Rockpointe and the Potomac Center for Medical Education have launched a web-based course to update allergists and dermatologists on the latest in atopic dermatitis (AD) management. "Targeted Therapies for Atopic Dermatitis: On the Cusp of a Golden Era?" focuses on health costs of uncontrolled AD, identification of patients with more severe AD who require treatment escalation, evidence-based utilization of newer targeted therapies and the near-term effects of emerging therapies on AD management. The free program should help participants in describing how type 2 inflammatory processes impact AD's pathophysiology; identifying patients with moderate to severe AD using evidence-based disease evaluation tools; deploying shared decision-making within routine practice to insert patient goals and needs into multidisciplinary AD action plans; and assessing the safety/effectiveness of current and emergent targeted AD therapies. The course is continuing medical education-certified and American Board of Internal Medicine maintenance of certification and Merit-based Incentive Payment System-eligible.
