Online CME Program Updates Allergists, Dermatologists on New Therapeutic Strategies for Severe Atopic Dermatitis

Rockpointe and the Potomac Center for Medical Education have launched an online program on managing atopic dermatitis (AD). The course, "A Bright Horizon: Staying Up To Date with New and Emerging Therapies For Atopic Dermatitis," targets allergists and dermatologists. Topics include the health costs of uncontrolled disease; identification of patients with more greater severity who need treatment escalation; evidence-based use of newer targeted treatments; and the effects of emerging therapies on near-term AD management. Course presenters will also highlight assessment tools, ways to identify disease severity, and the value of patient engagement and relaying the need for treatment compliance. The free program should enable participants to discuss type 2 inflammatory processes and related physiologic pathways underpinning AD pathophysiology; recognize moderate-to-severe pathology in patients with appropriate tools; tailor action plans for patients through shared decision-making; and measure the safety and effectiveness of current and emerging targeted AD treatments.
