American Board of Thoracic Surgery and American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Join CME for MOC Collaboration

The Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) reports that the American Board of Thoracic Surgery (ABTS) and the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) are participating in the CME for MOC Collaboration. Doing so will enable digital reporting of CME and Continuing Certification/Maintenance of Certification credits for surgeons in the thoracic and orthopaedic fields. These are just two of several such collaborations that ACCME has undertaken to help meet the reporting needs of physicians. To facilitate the digitization of learner data, accredited providers should review the CME for MOC Program Guide, log into PARS to register upcoming activities that meet ABTS or ABOS requirements and report that credits that learners receive into the system.
